AP APPLICATION PROCESS

AP COMPUTER SCIENCE A

Before taking AP Computer Science A, students must:

Complete a semester of Introduction to Computer Science I or Introduction to Computer Science II.
Must demonstrate a high level of independence and a high level of knowledge of object-oriented programming.
You must get permission from the instructor.

Students who take Computer Science courses outside of North Shore Country Day may be eligible to skip both introductory courses but must complete an assessment activity during the AP Application window before being considered candidates for the AP Computer Science A class.

Students interested in pursuing an AP Computer Science course must find time to confer with the instructor in the first week of March to learn more about the AP Computer Science courses.
